What an amazing array of plants and all looking in tip top shape. Any idea of how many growers enter their plants at this show? Is it just a few members with a lot of plants each or does the VCPS have a large number of members who enter their plants? Wish we had something like that up here in Brisbane. Anyway thanks for posting.

Hi Neil,

Around 10 growers provide the vast majority of plants as well as a few others who show only a few plants.

Hi Sean

I bet some are yours !! Can guess a few of them !!

Great exhibition, congratulation.

Yves

Hi Yves,

Yes, quite a few are mine. The D. ramentacea is the result of some seed supplied by yourself a few years back.

Thanks guys

Regrading the U. longifolia. I'm pretty sure that the plant was put into the tank just to display it for the show.

Normally I'd say that it's pot would sit inside another container filled with water as the tank and gravel were extremely clean.

Unfortunately the plant hadn't quite hit it's peak though. In 3-4 weeks time when the 5-6 scapes all had open flowers on them, it'll be magnificent.

Even still, the display looked pretty superb.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for posting these pics, very beautiful display. My eyes did goggle a bit (like Jim Carrey in the Mask :sun_bespectacled: ) for that stunning S flava var. rubricorpora:

Grand-Champ-rubricorpra-4451.jpg

Is there any information regarding the origin of this clone? It is a stunner.

It is one of Steve's plants. You may have to contact him directly if he has not yet replied to you. He has been a bit busy with a new baby, of the non-vegetative type.
