I wish I had gotten some of those to try...wonder if any of us over in Asia will actually be able to get this guy, though in theory its supposed to be in our backyard, heh. christerb
Hi, Great to read about the results so far. The first batch of my N. petiolata seeds are showing signs of germinating after 15 days on vermiculite. I got some on sphagnum (sown the day after), and a few of them are starting to germinate as well. Regards, Christer
MrAga73
Actually Steward has sold out ALL seeds including Nepenthes DA. We are the only guys who have the future in our hands! Now 7 seeds have germinated! :) Wow! 7 plants! :) Let's hope for the grow and temperature adaptability! Bye! Mr_Aga Italy

guillermo
Hello MrAga. I have a doubt, do Nepenthes's seeds germinate better, in vitro or of normal form? Beautiful plants of seed, congratulations. And I have another doubt, you who has N.lowii, can it say to me that taken care it gives him? Thank you very much and a greeting. MrAga73
Guillermo, I don't have experience between seed germination in vitro but also in common mode they germinate without problems! Sockhom, man.......you beat me! I have only 8 plants! :) I am also happy for the seedlings of Nepenthes bellii. Do you have the maxima in miniature? McPherson spoke about a discover of a very little maxima! He sold seed also but at the EEE they were already sold out! Bye! Nepaholic
I have germination from all his seeds. N. sp. nova Mantalingahan N. mindanaoensis central Mindanao N. sp. nova ‘DA’ N. maxima ‘Wavy Form’ (hundreds of this ;) )
SteveMc
Seed sown on 30th August of Deaniana and Nov.'DA' yet to germinate, although they look like they're ready to go any day! Will keep you posted...... Cheers Steve
MrAga73
Nooo..JenB! You did catch in time the Micro Maxima that grows in open land! :) Wowwwwww! If one day you will have no more space for your 100 Maxima plants then I will be waiting here with open hands! :) At which altitudine has been Ne. DA discovered? I think around 1500-1800 , right? And if the seedlings will get used to raise with warmer temperatures I will be really lucky! :) Byeeeeee! Mr_Aga
Mathias
Hi! It has been a while since last post, has anything happened? Does anyone have further leaves than the cotyledons? I have success in N. mantalingajanensis (loads) N. spec DA only 4 so far of two seed packages nothing in mindanaoensis :-( deaniana has yet to come but was sown a bit later! Greetings, Mathias
christerb
Hi Mathias, The only species to have unfolded their first pitcher leaf so far is N. petiolata and N. maxima "Mt Sesean". I can see the pitcher leaf developing on some of the N. sp. DA. No germination on N. maxima "Elongated form" or N. deaniana (not from Stewart). I guess it is still too early to give up on them, but I am not very hopeful at this point. Regards, Christer
phissionkorps
I sowed my seeds way later than everyone else (9/10/07), so I don't have germination in anything. I couldn't get mantalingahensis, so I only bought DA and deaniana...and haven't had germination in either. :'(
MrAga73
Other 20 days have passed from my last post. Now I have 7 seedlings of the McPherson DA plants with some of them the first pitchers in development. And also 3 seeds of Nepenthes bellii have germinated! Nice! See you for other updates! Milos Sula
Anyone have sown the seeds in vitro ? I did it before ~2 months, but still no germination. Milos
phissionkorps
Milos, I wouldn't worry. This is total conjecture but I think you will have another month or two to wait.
Derek
Hi All, I've germinated; Sp.Nova DA, mantaliganjasanensis, alata red form Dinaget, deaniana, petiolata, maxima small wavy Mt.Sessian(this came up like cress and there's already about 125!) and sp. Sockhom
Hey ! I have germinated: - mantalingajanensis (25); - "DA" giant (20); - petiolata (15); - bellii (8); - maxima "elongated form" (3); But the number isn't important. I think the trick will be to reach the first year of growth without losing too much seedlings. François. PS: I have no germination of Stew 's tentaculata. It's been two months now. Has someone managed to germinate the seeds? Edited October 16, 2007 by Sockhom
Mospitensis
Hi! This is my first post in this topic. And I'm posting here because this week germinated my first 'DA' giant!!! One more plant for the conservation of this new species. I hope more seeds to germinate in the next days. :) Pablo.
