  1. Yes and a few other people also have it. I got mine from a member of the ICPS. A lot of the lovely Sarracenia hybrids we all have are from the USA originally but make their way over here somehow. On the forums I've come across many people in Europe and the UK who trade with growers across the pond which means we all get the chance to add them to our collections.

That's so unusual - how will it catch prey ?
  3. Just got two stunning plants - Sarracenia Blackberry Sundae and Raspberry Sundae but I can't seem to find what the cross is between. Any ideas ? Thanks
  4. I'm sure I can find some spares that I can send you.
  5. Hi guys, I need to grow a tree or a shrub that can get quite tall but it will have to be happy in a large pot. It needs to be evergreen aswell - any suggestions ?? I've tried a few shrubs but they don't do too well in the confines of a pot. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. Like Ada said - if people don't tell the truth about what's in the parcel, plants will still be sent to and from Europe. No-one opens them to check. It's been happening for many years with the USA - lots of people are illegally trading plants with growers over there.
  7. Crikey, they are over £20 each already and I haven't bid yet
  8. They are from the 1980's - thanks for the info. I'll keep my eye on them and see how the bidding goes. It might be nice to add them to my little collection of CP books !
  9. Just noticed 2 of the Allen Lowrie drosera books for sale on Ebay - anyone know what would be a reasonable price to pay for them please ? Thanks
  10. I have used tap water lots of times and it's ok in an emergency.
  11. It will be a while - I have a single crown only.
  12. Hi, yes it certainly is. I bought one from a grower in Italy last year. I didn't think to ask him where he got from though.
  13. Oh well, more to add to the wants list !!
  14. We planted some daffodil bulbs a few years ago and the first year they were lovely. The following year they grew well but did not flower. I was told I hadn't planted them deep enough and they were known as 'blind' daffs. I dug them up, planted them deeper but this year still no flowers. Does it mean they will never flower again ??
  15. I suppose it doesn't really matter - it's just that all the ones people have had in the last few years will labelled as JT and all the older ones will know it as JJ so as time goes on there will be 2 names in circulation for exactly the same plant - just a thought that's all.
  16. I'll ditto that. I also have a spare Adrian Slack and would be delighted to swap for a WWK. Petesredtraps has your first offer though seeing as he posted before me !!
  17. I wasn't saying Stephen shouldn't sell HIS plant I was having a joke saying I won't sell mine - it's the only one I have anyway ! I know it's the real deal because i bought it from JT herself several years ago at her nursery in Perranporth - she still has that massive plant in a bucket and it sends out lots of babies being such a mature plant. We dug one out, cut the underneath root to separate it from the mother plant and I have that one. I have to agree it's nothing special regarding colour it just seems to have become desirable due to having larger than average pitchers. I'm labelling mine 'JT formerly JJ' - that should make things easier if I ever trade it. Bit small for that yet though !
  18. Nice plant. One of my 'typical' ceph clones is grown in varying conditions and they all produce a different result, some larger, some smaller, some darker and last year in the heatwave a normal ceph was nearly black, usually it's just very dark green so there are probaly hundreds of different colourways resulting from different conditions.
  19. Hi Guys, As I mentioned on a previous post she remarried several years ago so we all need to amend our labels otherwise there will be confusion as her ceph.plants are sold or swapped. Her surname is Trewin or Trewen - can't remember which ! As long as we put JT we'll be ok ! All growers of this clone who are not forum members won't know so eventually there will be 2 clones in circulation - JJ and JT. That's going to cause problems I expect. I can't believe the price here but I'm not selling mine - I'm keeping it for my retirement fund
  20. Yes, same person, look at his ID history - why would you want so many different names ??
  21. If anyone is looking for gary Hove he is selling on ebay under the ID highernewhamcarnivores
