CephFan
Morning all, I have two greenhouse benches, the water in one is clear... in the other I have a nasty case of green scum. I have done a search and have come across a couple of mentions of barley straw (which I have heard of being used in ponds) but does anyone have experience of using his with CPs and what was the outcome? Cheers, Steve Edited June 8, 2014 by CephFan
FredG
It's only a scum, why not just leave it alone?

Guest paul y
leave it steve it will only use up any traces of nutrients in the water, every cp nursery ive been to has all sorts of what not floating in tanks.
CephFan
Ok chaps that sounds like good advice. Corky, it looks like my bath water too. I'll need a bath again in a month or so so I might just do it in the greenhouse and kill two birds with one stone ;-) Cheers, Steve
North West Neps
I think after a month between baths, you'll deffo need to monitor your bath water for TDS first. Figures could be through the roof
