mobile
Lovely photos and plants too, especially the U. bisquamata big purple flower. I would like to get myself one of those. Let me know if you ever have a spare plug
gardenofeden
lovely photos. I ahve to admit I have never had a subulata with flowers that good... I suspect U.bisquamata big purple flowers is the same as 'Betty's Bay'? Is there anyone who grows both plants who can compare?
pandalf
Very nice pics! lovely photos. I ahve to admit I have never had a subulata with flowers that good...I suspect U.bisquamata big purple flowers is the same as 'Betty's Bay'? Is there anyone who grows both plants who can compare? It's also my question . I have a U. bisquamata from Carniflora and it seems identical to the 'Betty's Bay' clone. Carlos Rohrbacher
Hi Christian, I loved your pictures, the U. bisquamata is a beauty! Regards.
Christian
Hi, thanks for the nice comments! i think, that U. bisquamata 'Betty's Bay' is the same as the plant i grow. I am growing this plant since 2003, don't know when the Betty's Bay was described/cam inot cultivation though. Christian
gardenofeden
Christian, I introduced it in 1985, so it's been spreading through collections for quite a while!
pandalf
Perhaps also the U. bisquamata sold by Carniflora/Extreme Plants is the same clone (or location). The size of flowers is the same of 'Betty's Bay'. Edited July 21, 2009 by pandalf
