Recommended Posts

Hi

the ICPS has announced that the 2016 ICPS Conference has been awarded to a joint bid by the Carnivorous Plant Society and the world renowned Royal Botanical Gardens Kew.

The event will be held from 6th to 8th August 2016 and the bidders have promised to put on "a once in a lifetime" event.

More details will follow.

cheers

Hi James

it will be open to non members but much cheaper if you are a member - yet another reason to join!

The conference itself will comprise talks by leading botanists from around the world on their latest research findings as well as other talks on more general CP matters.

cheers

Dennis

Hi

the cost of the conference has yet to be decided but I imagine it will be similar to recent conferences in the USA and Australia.

In addition to the conference there will be a large sales area, field trips to see native CPs, an opportunity to see Kew's large non public CP collections, and all the attractions offered by one of the world's best botanical gardens.

Hope you can make it.

Dennis

I reckon that it will be all of that. You have three days of talks to go to, by some of the world's best top experts on CP's, plus everything else going on. If you are flying in from Texas, the cost of the conference will only be a small part of the trip.  The conference itself will need to be funded by the attendees, this won't exactly be free.
