    CPS Issues

Does anyone think Annette will have the nerve to actually turn up at the AGM? I will certainly be backing the long standing and hard working committee.
  2. Can anyone tell me of the contents and layout of the two books below are pretty much the same. The reason I ask is because I had both books at one point but for some reason cannot find the second book listed below. I wonder if I got rid of it because it was the same inside - just a different title used? 1) Growing Carnivorous Plants by Barry Rice 2) The Complete Growers Guide To Carnivorous Plants by Barry Rice Cheers
  3. Has anyone seen the new book thats due for publication in March 2019? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Carnivorous-Plants-Botanical-Dan-Torre/dp/1789140528/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1547312888&sr=8-8&keywords=carnivorous+plants+book http://www.reaktionbooks.co.uk/display.asp?ISB=9781789140521&nat=false&stem=true&sf1=keyword&st1=carnivorous&m=1&dc=1

I also grow this plant and when it flowered for me one night, the fragrance in the greenhouse was fantastic. Only lasts for one night though.

  8. Has anyone used Erin Irish Moss Peat?
  9. I have a few Sarracenia that have rather unfortunately got a bad dose of mealy bug in the roots. Years ago I grew cacti and the best way to treat root mealy bugs on cactiwas to submerge the roots into a bowl of methylated spirits, let them dry and then re-pot. Is this treatment safe to use on Sarracenias? If not, what is the best way to treat this?

  18. Where can I see carnivorous plants growing in the wild in the UK?
  19. Does anyone know Mitch Brooker off Facebook? She keeps messaging my wife asking for donations of free carnivorous plants following a huge house fire that destroyed everything. I saw the thread a month or so ago, and I believe she was caught out using other peoples photos etc etc, and was subsequently reported to facebook. However, she / he has now resurfaced. Anyone had any dealings with this person. At this stage we are not sending any plants to her.
  20. I have found some mealy bugs on the crown of some of my plants. On cacti, I use methylated spirits to eradicate mealy bugs - but is it safe to use this on cp's?

    Ceph pitcher turning yellow?

I dont let my Cephs stand in water. I was advised to water from above and then tip away any water that collects in the tray / saucer. To date, all has gone well and not had any problems so my guess is it's got something to do with standing in the water.
