Veek
Here are some pictures of my emerging flower stalks: Only four but better then nothing. The plant with 2 flowers is my Hummer's Giant.
Swerfer
I had one flower stalk emerging this year, but decided to cut it of when it was 2 inches long. I am trying a stalk cutting. I had a lot of flowers last year, up to 8 or so and had them flower. So I already have a lot of seedlings. You also cut of flowerstalks in VFT to safe its plant energy, so I think it is the same for Cephalotus. Anyone of you know if this plant-energy saving also works in Cephalotus? What is your experience? Youri
dimitar
. Anyone of you know if this plant-energy saving also works in Cephalotus? What is your experience? Yes, they burn up a lot of energy to form stalks. I do not leave small plants to do so and I cut off the stalks. Even 4-5 years old seedlings do this early in the spring under my conditions . Anyway, if I do not need seeds I always cut off the stalks even to adult plants....
