i finally figured out how to get pics from the new camera to the computer. the new camera is nice(dont know the model.. but its a kodak) but i miss my old one here you go!
N. singalana. got this as a little cutting from the NECPS show from Dave Sacket. the leaves are really truncate...which ive never seen with any singalana
N. tentacuala. just opened up today! also got this at the last NECPS show. check out how that lid opens!
first pitcher from my 'Sabre'
N. clipeata x eymae. probably the most favorite hybrid i own...
briggsiana 'Peter D' Amato'. finally showing growth...
and my mysterious albomarginata "green" doesn't look green to me. any experts out there have any idea? it came from BE.

i missed this? it seems lots of people have trouble with this nep... mine has been under my care for almost a year, since May '07. its always been a slow but steady grower only missing a pitcher once! its one of my favorites really. for me it never cared for temps. it pitchered fine in open humidity but when i gave it more the pitcher were FAR more developed. here are a few pics of mine:

what about N. fusca sarawak....20%
all my utrics grow in the same conditions: dichotoma, subulata, sandersonii, livida and longifolia. the first 4 only bloom during warmer months though...except for subulata which just blooms year round.
Alex
me too...so i could tell people. right now its in pretty cool conditions. ~15-18C with household humidity of anywhere from 20-40%. its under 4 40 watt fluorescent tubes. the plant dries out a bit between watering. any help??
Alex
might as well bring a nice side to U. subulata. this things has never stopped flowering for me... i odnt know what im doing. haha!! oh...and pardon the crappy quality. im using the old camera haha.
Alex
ive never heard of pygmies just kicking the bucket after gemmae. why did all the gemmae die?!
nice dews though. i hope to get some more pygmies soon. they really are a hoot to grow!
Alex
what do you grow your neps in? a greenhouse? all in one? are they all pitchering?
Drosphyllum is both difficult to germinate(if not done correctly) and even harder to keep alive long term. they are very picky on how they are watered, dont like high humidity(from what i have read) and need lots of lights.
Alex
its hard to advise highland neps unless we know the conditions of your new terrarium. some highland neps will do well in there(as well as anywhere) and some wont.
Alex
Manders: do you think it is possible to grow N. burbidgeae in a low humidity environment? i know it was probably an experiment for you but did you have any evidence saying it could? ive been wanting to get one for a while but i have nothing big enough to house it. other than the shelf it would stay on, under lights.
Alex
it could be that new N. peltata too. the one that was mistaken to be N. mira. but it has peltate leaves. hair all over. large pitchers and the leaves have a red color.
