Neil Cornish
Decided to repot one of my Cephs last night and couldn't believe how long the roots had got wrapped around the inside of the bottom of the pot. The media seemed a little on the dry side so I expect the roots were on the hunt for water. Even the new large pot I had planned for it was not deep enough but it was the deepest I have. Anyway enjoy the pics and the roots were probably about 40cm long. Regards Neil
lsternar
WOW I had no idea ceph roots coud grow so long. What size pot was it in and what size pot do you plan to pot it into. I think your image goes some way to explaining why they do better in deeper pots. Cheers Louis

Neil Cornish
Yeah, sorry the photo is not the best as it was taken at night under a fluoro light and on a glass topped table. Didn't fancy taking my chances keeping it unpotted until the light was better. The soil mix was chopped sphagnum moss and perlite 50:50. I usually add peat moss as well but must have got lazy for that pot. Regards Neil
