Pyro
Watch out for aphids, they will suck it dry first chance they get. I had not seen aphids for years and then BOOM they took out my bloom. So mad
lilacina
Hi Marek, I“d be interested in your growing conditions (i.e.lighting ) for I“m growing this species for several years now (also seed-grown plants),but without just one single flower. Marek Wozny
Hi again Here You are pictures from all flowering time - enjoy . Before opening the flower. Flower in full size . All plant. Pollination. Seed pod with healthy seeds. Now I have seeds and questions - are You knew what is the best possibility to germinated them ? My growing conditions are same like for tuberous droseras : peat/sand medium and cold conditions during grows. Regards Marek
Martin Hingst
Great flower, Marek. Thanks for the update. I had success at low temperatures (5°/15°C) and short photoperiod, with water level close to the surface. Not in the first year though, after nothing had happened I let the pot dry out in early summer and rewettened in late autumn. But the seeds weren't fresh, so maybe you will be lucky even this year. It is already quite late, will be a short season for your seedlings if they will germinate now, so it may be a good idea to store some of the seeds and sow them in October. Good luck - Martin Edited February 17, 2008 by Martin Hingst
Daniel O.
Hi Marek, really nice flower and congratulation for your successful pollination. Sorry that i can“t help you with your seed, i have never sawn out seed from U. menziesii. Normally i would handle them like all other seed from tuberous Drosera. But as you have enough from it i would listen to Martin and would devide it into 2 portions, so you can compare what will be the better way. Best regards, Dani Edited February 17, 2008 by Daniel O. wadave
Hi Marek, Thanks for showing us such wonderful photos. How did you pollinate your flower, did you use pollen from the same flower or did you have a second flower? Also, did you manage to germinate the seed that was produced? I've just recently added this beautiful carnivore and I would love to pollinate the flowers when they arrive. Thanks. Dave. Sean Spence
You won't need to worry about that for awhile Dave. If there are no signs of a flower forming now, I doubt you'll be seeing one this season. I've had many flowers over the years but have never bothered to pollinate them. I've actually got one flowering at the moment.

Sean Spence
At least you'll have the opportunity to see them in the wild this season.
wadave
Hi Sean, Ohhhh boy have I seen them in the wild...... I've been out twice this last week to two diferent spots and their were huge tracks of land filled with them, well at the very least 10 - 20 square meters of them in some spots. I will post some pics in a new thread to show you what I mean. Dave.

Jefforever
Beautiful flower as always. I've been wondering, about how large are the tubers? Do you ever propogate your plants using the tubers?
Marek Wozny
I bought them as a tubers, and don't dig up them from the beginning Now the clumps are more robust like in the past, the conditions are correct I think :-)
