Bojahnik
Well ... this old useless room in the basement has now a new holy function. It has to bring my nepenthes of the greenhouse through the winter. Old room: holy function :) used hps from ebay ... now lightning the right plants ;) swamp cooler with cool strong nature simulated air
Phil Green
That should see them through, Boris. A great use for the space and I spy at least one Heli as well. I've also just added extra grow space - pic's a little later today. Good luck.
LJ
Very nice I must make sure my next house has a basement, lol!! I definitely need somewhere bigger for my neps too!! Heather
Bojahnik
@Phil: yes ... I've got two helis which survived my care. H. tatei and H. chimantensis both from Wistuba. Looking forward for your pics of the extra grow space @Heather: we've got a bungalow which has over 100 m² basement. Lots of space to invade for the neps. If there weren't the bills for the electricity. I was also thinking of a heated greenhouse but getting a good greenhouse and heating this would have been more expensive than the basement solution. Moving to a warm place with highland and lowland conditions would be ideal. Maybe the lowland area directly at the beach and the highland area 1000m upward in a nice mountain paradise. Ok ... I'll take place in my basement room and keep on dreaming ;)
christerb
I am sure you will have a nice time in there caring for you plants. A heated green house would be nice, but personally I would be scared all time in the wintertime for power cuts. This is certainly a good alternative. I am looking forward to see updates on how the plants will do in their new home. Regards, Christer

Bojahnik
the new room works really great! Six plants are flowering. Here are some of them: (inermis x spathulata) x tm ... it's a lady talangensis ... it's a boy mira (BE) ... it's a kid (sizewise). I grow it now for 2 years and it didn't increased size very much ... but it's flowering. I've got 5 plants of mira and 3 are flowering all the same like in the photo: hybrid dwarf ... tentaculata x aristolochioides spathulata (also flowering) sibuyanensis x tm having a siesta (great plant I got a few weeks ago from nepaholic ... healthy and strong like all plants I got from him) one of the best nepenthes hybrids lowii x truncata Edited November 30, 2009 by Bojahnik
