VFT weird trap

WOW shame it cant be cloned like that!

I had a few double traps appear last year on typicals (bought from garden center)

I seem to remember that that it sometimes happens due to the chemicals used in the tissue cultures.

Very nice trap all the same.

(I also had a S. Rubra Alabamensis throw out a couple of Double pitchers as well, ill see if i can find the pics if anyone wants to see)

What The!!!! That is Awesome!!! It's a trap within a trap within a trap.....You should name that VFT 'Inception" ...Like the Leonardo Di Caprios movie where they entered a dream within a dream within a dream=)))

Only looks like a trap in a trap in a trap...is actually 3 traps side by side. If you look carefully you will see the trigger hairs for each trap still facing the inside of each one...

Take a look here http://www.carnivorousplants.org/cpn/Species/v39n3p78_81.html#Mirror ,this plant does the mutation continueously and as you see, is a registered cultivar. If your plant keeps doing this you may have something special on your hands, if not and it reverts back to normal just enjoy it while it's here.

Am keeping my eye on it....it survived this years winter in UK outdoors and is returning to life...
