More obscene Nepenthes . . .

Hopefully, the photo-hosting site, Photobucket will not censor the images as they did last year. "Unsuitable and a violation of our policy," so they had said at the time.

This further reminds me of my father and his often perverse sense of humor. My mother would frequently host her arch-religious friends over for tea, and she would actually have to spend a good amount of time making sure that my father had not arranged the various fruit baskets and luncheon items in an "unseemly" manner; and he always had . . .

:oops::laugh2:

When my (female) psychotherapist browsed through Peter D´Amato´s "Savage Garden" 9 or so years ago she pointed to the title picture of the Nepenthes chapter and stated: "Well, this has some phallic appearance...!" And I countered: "Well, Mrs. N.****, after I have consulted so many psychotherapists and psychiatrists in my life I´m finally aware that it is you, the psychotherapists and psychiatrists, who have the most properous sexual imagination!" *hrhrhr* Mrs. N.**** and me, we´ve had a lot of fun.... :biggrin:

By the way, Mrs. N.**** asked for a Cephalotus layer.... :blush:

Finally, now that there´s a democratic president ruling the land of unlimited possibilities :wink: again, I hope things will improve over there... lol Should Photobucket remove the item though call for the Terminator!!!! :laugh1:

Impressive plants nevertheless, loligo! :Laie_98:

Regards,

Andy

Here is that very same pitcher twelve hours or so after those previous photos, just as it began to open. Nepenthes truncata have about the most dramatic and rapid "unfurling" of the peristome of any Nepenthes in my collection. They just get bigger and nastier looking every season . . .
