  1. Yes, that is a P. laueana. A pretty large one though....I've had this for over 3 years. Peter
  2. Max, your pings look excellent! Very well grown. Please save me a leaf pulling of 'Seductora' and laueana 'cp3'! are you growing all of these indoors? under lights or windowsill? Thanks, Peter
  3. Thanks for the tip! I didn't know about this flowering habit. Peter.
  4. Here are multiple pics of my cephs that i took this week. They are starting to really grow. The Hummer's Giant has several bloom stalks. Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/minicatt/sets...9827269/detail/
  5. Excellent pics of P. Tina. I love the flowers on this one since they have that unusual color combo. Most of my pings do not grow that big, it think it is because i keep mine in small pots. They seem to grow big when they are potted in larger pots. Peter.
  6. This is very normal. Once it grows out a bit, you can split the plant in two if you like. Peter.
  7. Max, thanks for clearing up the photo confusion. Giuppe, yes the first pic you showed is the one i was saying was P. ibarrae. The second photo of the pink one is still a mystery. It could be a number of Pings, probably a hybrid like Weser, Sethos, or maybe P. moranensis. Best to see it in bloom to identify! Peter
  8. Why, do you think it is not? I have P. ibarrae in bloom now and the plant originally came from Ed Read. If you see the link to Pinguicula.org the flower is the same as well? I think Max got the plant from me too. What do you think it is? Thanks, Peter
  9. Max, that question mark ping is Ping. ibarrae. MOre info here: http://www.pinguicula.org/pages/plantes/pi...ula_ibarrae.htm Peter.
  10. Yes, a great meeting and some really nice plants for show and tell. Thanks to Michael for bringing so many tuberous dews! Peter.
  11. Here are pictures of mine in dormancy. I keep them in a closed tank and keep them moist. The D. falconeri typically turn all the way brown, most others have a green center. I had used a heating cable last year in the tank, but did not repeat for this year. It will get to about 63 degrees at night. They seem to be just fine. Thanks, Peter. http://www.flickr.com/photos/minicatt/sets...7069972/detail/
  12. Your pictures are fantastic!! so beautiful and well grown. Peter
  13. 4 foot long T5's typically come in 54 watts. That's why the 4 bulb fixture says 216 watts total. Remember in evaluating costs of fixtures with/without bulbs, the bulbs will cost about $15 EACH. Each fixture uses specific bulb types, you can't interchange them. T5 fixtures only use t5 bulbs. If you're looking for more economical, get 2 T8 shoplights. Bulbs are 32 watts each, and only cost about $20 each for fixture and 2 bulbs, or $40 total! Peter.
  14. Max, so sorry to hear that!! Must have been some strong winds. I guess the good thing is now you know how secure you need to make it to bear those winds! Good luck in getting it set. Peter.
  15. i wouldn't order until i got some kind of communication confirmation. He's been mia for a while.... Peter.
