  1. Thanks Defalotus! :) I have no problems with botrytis or others, I have roof window vent and louvres open so fresh air gets in I was just looking to give it a boost so to speek. (Gh is in a sheltered spot) Defalotus, thanks for the info on the cell walls. I was hoping some might say it would help with making for tougher pitchers, like in nature! :) Thanks all for you help! I now have a use for my spare fan
  2. No need to be funny! :) I have everyone's advice to fall back on if my plan doesn't work so I'd so the advice was helpful. I like to experiment with my growing conditions all the time, for my neps and sarracenia. The nepenthes benefit hugely with increased air movement and I just wondered if anyone else had tryed something similar :) Thanks
  3. Ok thanks for the input, i'm looking to keep as much humidity as possible so I will try a fan first before removing any glass :)
  4. Hi all, As the title says I'm curious to know what your opinions might be........ Even with roof vents and louvre open the air in the greenhouse can be very still, would it be of benefit to install a fan in there? Would the circulation of fresh air help the plants grow? :) Thanks for looking! Jim
  5. Thanks for the info! :) I went for it and sprayed the plants last week! Bugs dead! :) plants fine! :) Result!! Thanks James
  6. Hi all, It seems I have potato leaf hoppers on my Sauromatum venosum (voodoo lily)! I'v not come across these little guys before, very fast moving young and adults that fly away then promptly find their way back!! If I spray with provado bug killer will that get the little critters? Thanks James
  7. Awesome! I'm in the UK and my konjaks are still in full leaf but I'm hoping for some flowers in the spring! :)
  8. Yeap, got half a dozen showing! Ones about 1inch tall!!! Cheers Jim
  9. Gaz That's one fine looking ceph. Well done!!! I see you have no moss or anything growing on the bare soil makes for a nice clean crisp look!! In the same way I have one that's covered in moss that I keep trimmed down looks quite good. Also one i'v top dressed with white quartz sand! Anyone see any problems with top dressing with quartz sand? You pollinated any of your ceph flowers? Regards James
  10. Eee 2012 Bonn!!!

  11. Hi chrass, Your voodoo Lily is looking good!! You will find when you come to dig up after it's finish growing the bulb could easily be two or three times the size from when you planted it!! It might even be flowering size, you will need a nose peg then lol!! Regards James
