Simba
Hi Daniel, I've tried growing Paphiopedilums without much success, what's your secret? Simba
Daniel O.
Hi all, thanks for the kind words. The Paphiopedilum is now flowering since 7 month and it will continue to flower. My substrate is similar to the substrate of Nepenthes. One to two times a week i give her a shower, every two to three weeks i give her an orchid fertilizer. I think the fertilizer is important. The plant is standing at a bright windowsill. Bye bye, Dani
Martin Hingst
Hi Daniel, very nice plants and pics! I like that little Dendrobium very much, esp. the second picture, and the Vanda has a beautiful colour! Thanks for sharing Martin
An D Smith
Hi Dani Stunning photos, thanks very much. That little Dendrobium is stunning. Never seen it before but would love to try growing it. Any ideas where I can get one? Cheers Andy
Daniel O.
Thanks again, yes, the Dendrobium cuthbertsonii is a very nice species, i love it too. It´s a cool growing species, it is growing in my highland terrarium with my Heliamphora, some Nepenthes and a few more orchids. @Andy: I bought mine in this shop: orchids and more It was not mounted (it was growing in a little pot of 6 cm in diameter), so i have to do this job. It will have two flowers more these days. Bye bye Dani Edited November 14, 2007 by Daniel O.
Sean Spence
Dendrobium cuthbertsonii is a real little gem. I've grown a red form for quite a few years now.
