  1. Hi, I sometimes have spare petiolaris complex plants available. They're generally small plants, but this varies. Email me privately if you're interested. Matt
  2. Hi Fernando, Andreas, etc... The plants from Marahuaca were really big in comparison to the others. Interestingly, the seedlings of the Mara roraimae are smaller than some if not all of the other forms. I'd take a closer look but I'm burned out on CP right now - I got a lot of tissue cultured Heliamphoras from a friend and have been really busy planting them. Matt
  3. Hi Greg, That sounds ok for starters. The trick is in getting it through the winter without rotting. I'd say as much light as possible, HEAT and reduce watering when it starts to go dormant. Matt
  4. Hi Sean, What temperature / lighting / wetness for the hirticalyx seed? I'm wondering if it needs warmer temps to germinate.
  5. Hi, I just got some tissue cultured U.humboldtii from a friend. I plan on potting them up in a couple hours and wanted to see if anyone with good luck growing this plant had any good advice. I plan on planting them in shallow translucent plastic containers, in chilean sphagnum moss, sitting in just a tiny bit of water (or maybe none at all), in a sealed terrarium under lights. If anyone sees any reason not to do this, please let me know. Thanks, Matt
  6. Hi folks, Should I plant some newly acquired tissue cultured Cephalotus plantlets in sphagnum moss or a peat-perlite mix? I seem to recall peat-per working better for me in the past but maybe it was the other way around? Thanks, Matt
  7. Hi all, I'm happy to say that more of my D.meristocaulis seeds are sprouting - it looks like I've got a good crop. I'm VERY happy about this! The roraimae and G.repens seed I offered have germinated as well. The only one I haven't germinated yet is hirticalyx, but I'm patiently waiting. If anyone still wants seed, email your requests as I hope to divide the rest up shortly. Thanks, Matt
  8. Hi folks, I'm sorry for the 2nd post. This will be my last. I'm wrapping up my latest seed offer so if you missed it the first time, please email me right away. There's definitely enough D.meristocaulis seed to meet demand so don't be shy if you're interested. Others are in smaller quantities, but don't let this discourage you. Multiple packet requests are ok as long as I have enough. Seed from the same batch has just started germinating for me. :) I want to get rid of my extras ASAP and be done with this seed offer so I can get my life back again!

  11. There's something which has been circulating for years called D.sp.2 Cuba which some people say looks to be a form of capillaris. It seems reasonable that there was also a "sp.1" collected but I've never seen this listed so would guess it may be "sp.2" you're referring to. I'd like to know the history of this plant if anyone knows its origin.
  12. Hi friends, I'm sorry for the crosspost. I just wanted to let everyone know that I sent the official email containing all details about my Neblina expedition seed off a little while ago. If you didn't get it, please email me directly ASAP and I'll resend. Thanks, Matt

  16. You should have read what I said *before* the moderators censored it. ;) Just kidding....
  17. Hey Sean, I can't speak for Fernando, but don't be so sure! This isn't specifically about Aaron, but when you've got a lot of ground to cover and little time to do it in, it's not the best idea to take someone who has little or no field experience. ***I may have some spare G.roraimensis seed available.*** I think it's in very short supply (have to look!) so I may only send it to the most qualified growers. If you're interested please email me directly at [email protected] - and state your experience with Genlisea, if you have any. Email me regardless, it's worth a shot. Thanks Matt
  18. Hi guys, I have seed of D.meristocaulis and others from the area available now. An official announcement is now in the Sales and Wants category here: http://www.cpukforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7462 Unlike my plant offerings, I'll be offering these to growers in ANY country. Also, my offer will be a very limited time offer / while supplies last. Thanks, Matt

  20. Hi Sean and Fernando, The top pics look like tomentosa to me. I'm 99.99% sure the next is felix. And I'm pretty darn sure the last is not esmeraldae. Later, Matt
  21. I could be wrong but I think this is a photo tour of their old facility. I've heard their new one is nucking futs!
  22. Hi Jan, I read this and was very grateful for the knowledge you shared, thanks! Matt
  23. A little more info about short binatas. I spoke to our friend Allen Lowrie and he says he grows a form from Tasmania which stays very short (I think he said 3" max, but don't quote me on this) and that it will go dormant, but it's up and growing again almost immediately. So it doesn't quite skip dormancy but it's probably more exciting than the one from NZ I'm currently growing.
  24. William J also described a method for propagating D.falconeri from leaf cuttings. It's nice to see these methods described considering many thought it wasn't possible to propagate these plants by leaf cutting. I've got some experiments of my own I'm about to tackle and will document the results (if there are any interesting ones!).
  25. Hi Langy and Binataboy (I should have known you'd know this), Thanks for the info. Multifidas definitely don't seem to be good terrarium plants because they seem to flop around all over the place. I've heard rumors of a tiny form of "T form" D.binata which I was told would make a good terrarium grower but am still waiting to receive seed of it.
