Pinguicula mesophytica in flower

Congrats!!!!!! :)

I'm very curious to know who introduced this species to cultivation. I know that until recently it was not available. I'd love to see more pics of this species in the wild...

It sure looks like it could be P.mesophytica, but you would have to compare it to the description to be sure. Who's BCP? I wonder if they got any location data/ photos?

Hi friends,

I am the only source of all these seeds. It was given to me by a contact in Guatemala, a botanist that had its identification by S. Zamudio.

Jai Vanini around 2002, It was named and given to be as Pinguicula mesophytica, vera paz form, Guatemala. I am doubting like you, when comparing the official publication of S. Zamudio. I think also like Alexander, that the correct name should be " P. moranensis, Vera Paz form, Guatemala"
