Tuberousdrosera
Anyone grow these in the uk? What compost mix do you use?
Johannes
Hello, here are two pictures of my compost-mix. These are X Chilosimpliglottis pesscottiana, but I cultivate all my Australian Native Orchids in the same soil. Here is the recipe of my compost-mix: 40 liter peat 1 liter Perlite 1 liter silica sand (ca.o5 mm) a hand of clay, for the potash feed, that all tuber plants need 750g Vulcastrat (Zeolith : scoured pumice : lava) common for roof greening All the best, Johannes
Tuberousdrosera
Thank you johannes for the info...I was concerned as everyone else use toresa which I cannot find!
Johannes
Toresa is very good for the Mykorhiza. It is not so easy to buy Toresa where work for the Orchids. But when I repotet my tubers I mix half of the old soil to the new soil at to get the Mykorhiza. By my Orchids it works without Toresa. I have some tubers where are few years in the same soil. But it is one way of culture of many others.
Tuberousdrosera
Ah I see I used a mycorrhizal fungi powder with trichodema in my pterostylis compost mix last year and to me they grew so much better
