  1. Thanks for that! Hopefully I havent over fertilised the pitchers then, I filled them up at 1/4 strength. Not sure how old my plants are though as they were all store bought. None of them are producing monster pitchers though. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  2. I've only been growing Carnivorous plants for about 2 years. Most of my collection I've only had for a year though. Everything seems to be coming out of hibernation as theyre in a nice warm sunny spot in my conservatory and kept reasonably warm at night. So I want to give things a good headstart. I bought some liquid seawood fertiliser branded as 'Vitax' and allegedly organic. Ive given my nepenthes a good spray with it at 1/4 strength (never had a pitcher last year but it throws leaves and vines out like its on steroids). I also never trimmed my Saraccenia back for the winter, so I've filled some of the old but on their way out pitchers with some of this solution. Most of my Saraccenia are store bought hybrids that you can get from Carniflora.nl, then I have some flava and a bunch of purpurea. Basically long winded, Id read a fair few posts regarding putting diluted liquid fert in the pitchers, hoping if it goes wrong it will only kill the old pitchers. Id also read about putting osmocote into S.Purpurea. What are the thoughts on this? Have I made a bad move? Is it likely to damage the rest of the plant or just the pitchers that are filled? Thanks! 3. Good morning, I'm living just outside Edinburgh, I have a small collection of carnivorous plants and only started collecting them last year. Hoping there may be a few members near by to offer help, guidance and perhaps when I've built my collection up trade!
