  1. Cheers guys. I thought I'd try the flooding after reading that this species is almost semi-aquatic and get's submerged periodically in it's natural habitat. I'm thinking the fungus was already there when I got the plant (albeit tiny) or has appeared due to the plant being weak after recent potting.... my U. sandersonii is right next to it, kept very wet (sometimes with a little, brief surface water) and has so far had no problems with fungus, growing rather well. The U. praelonga is growing new, healthy stolons, which is a good sign. I'll just keep picking off the fungus and any dead leaves, increase air circulation and hope for the best!
  2. Hi, I'm after a few suggestions/ways of treating a fungus problem I have noticed on my Utricularia praelonga. I've only had it a little while and flooded it in it's tray so that it is currently submerged with about 1cm of water above it. However, as the water slowly receeds back down, fungus is growing on the leaves at the water surface as shown below... It is situated in my bedroom under a 30W (equiv 130W) helical compact fluorescent bulb. What is the best way of treating this? Is there anything (fungicide) I can use whilst submerged (added to the water), or a suitable fungicide I can use if I drain some water first, or is it best simply to keep removing affected leaves and hope for the best? Any ideas welcome! Thanks
