stewart Posted July 11, 2008 Report Share Posted July 11, 2008 Dear members of the CPUK forum, I thought I would post a few photos of Nepenthes tenax as a follow on from my last post about Cape York. Nepenthes tenax is a very interesting species, while is is obviously very close to N. mirabilis, the shape and structure of the leaf and pitcher is consistently different and this plant is surprisingly very distinct and recognizable in the field. I was sceptical before I saw it in the wild, but I must say, I completely agree with Charles's decision that this is a seperate species. What do you all think? My very best regards to you all! It seems to be a very open location, without any trees. Are the plants creeping through the grass when they are getting bigger? Thanks for sharing these pictures.
