  1. Hi ALexis, how would you suggest getting it out the vase without damaging it? Might leave it until the pitchers have started dying back in October so that less damage is done during move. Its usually on on a balcony but does get some sun- especially the morning actually. Thankyou.
  2. The inside of my Sarra doesn't ever really seem to be that wet, other than in one pitcher which has a copious amount water, so was wondering how it digests its prey.
  3. Thanks but I meant the River, not the tap water; how would you check the River Wey in Guildford's suitability? Lol. Honestly only used the tap water once just to moisten the soil and enable the plant to survive the last weekend and generate some digestive enzymes. It's not something that's done regularly. Our tap water is horrible in Guildford.
  4. Your plants are stunning; however, yes, it's addictive and we all end up wandering around railings picking up spiders and putting them in jars to give to our 'pets' later.
  5. My sarracenia came in a vase which gets very hot and is clear; and, apparently, this system is very bad. The vase is attractive, but there's no point having aesthetics which are likely harming the plant. It's taller than the pitchers and even taller than their lids. How would you suggest putting it in a more acceptable pot? It also seems unable to catch anything independently. Is there anything that can be done to make it more enticing to prey? Cool thank you!
  6. It's the River Wey in Guildford, a place which is under the Thames Water company; this means that googling it just turns up the River Thames and not the river Wey, who's google results are all about boat trips etc.
  7. Hi there! Recently purchased a Sarracenia and it's on a stand on my balcony in order to get maximum sun. Nevertheless, there's a rather pressing issue. I live in Guildford, our tap water is hard, and we're not predicted to get rain until Thursday night. The sarra will probably struggle to last that long, honestly. Have given some tap water in very minuscule doses in order to keep it moist but aware it's not advised. Was wondering whether taking a bottle down to the river Wey at St Catherine's Hill would be a good idea and getting some quick emergency water there to tide over the Sarra until the rain? Thankyou.
