Alexander Nijman
I have heard that Aldrovanda vesiculosa is still flourishing in a naturereserve near Nieuwkoop in The Netherlands. Its good to hear that this very rare and in the wild highly endangeroud plant has found a save haven there. Alexander

Alexander Nijman
Well Aldrovanda even had reached the newspaper Leids Dagblad recently! Well the number of Aldrovanda is increasing also year by year! Its even stated that swimmers should not be affraid for it. Some people seem to think that Aldrovanda is a kind of Jaws hiding in the Dutch freshwater canals... Funny country I live in! http://www.nieuwslog.nl/2011/08/02/vleesetende-exoot-in-nieuwkoop/ Alexander
Alexander Nijman
Well there is an error in that article. With the Aldrovanda included there are now 6 to be found nearcarnivorous plants in Nieuwkoop. There are 2 species of Drosera, 3 Utricularia and the Aldrovanda.
