Tim
I think I stumbled on a major source of food in the wild for Brocchinia. I've know that I have a tree frog in the greenhouse for some time, but I just noticed that he's been using my single Brocchinia for a toilet. I wonder if I should be checking my larger Nepenthes pitchers? And I wonder how he sticks to the inside of the Brocchinia? I hope the plants doesn't get too much of a good thing. Have any of you known a Brocchinia to rot with too many bugs?
Howard Snocken
Have any of you known a Brocchinia to rot with too many bugs? I lost one to Botrytis that seemed to take hold next to a large rotting fly but I think the main problem was bad growing conditions - too cold for this plant in my cool house in winter although Peter D'Amato says that cool and warm houses are ideal - perhaps mine are from the lowlands. He also mentions frog crap.
