Paul O'Keeffe
Hi guys, I'm looking for something a bit like in the picture in the UK to make my first bog garden on a balcony. Nothing big. Does anyone have any sites that may do the below? Biggish pot and deep tray.
partisangardener
Do you want to keep it all year round on the balcony? Your setting will have problems with frost. You might try another approach for your bog. Less substrate, one tray, less maintenance and less weight for transportation. https://www.srgc.org.uk/forum/index.php?topic=18726.0 Edited March 24, 2023 by partisangardener
Tropfrog
Hmm. We don't know what species op wants to keep. For many temperate species frost is not a problem, quite the oposite. Br Magnus
partisangardener
This displayed pot and tray will not withstand a good frost. Both will crack. That´s why I asked.
Tropfrog
Ahh. It looked like plastic to me. Now I see, terrakotta and glass. I fully agree. Not good If you get deep frost at your place. I know everything about it. BR Magnus from Sweden.
partisangardener
Even most plastic will crack with this steep form and small volume.
