Spiddal Stick Posted August 26, 2022 Report Share Posted August 26, 2022 Hello I'm pretty new to carnivorous plants, so apologies if I'm missing something obvious. I've got my eye on some Drosera Minutiflora seeds, but I'm struggling to find info on how to care for them. From what I can gather they seem to grow naturally in sandy places, so I assumed they'd need a mostly sand mixture to grow in. However I've seen a few sellers online have taken pictures of them in a peat:perlite combination. So I'm not sure what soil combination the Minutiflora needs to thrive in? I've got loads of peat and perlite but I'm happy to pick up some sand if thats what they need. I'm thinking they'll like a lot of light, and to be kept moist unless going dormant? But I grow all my Drosera, pinguicula and utricularia in peat and perlite mix. Some grow in sandy, some in alkaline soil in nature. Seems to make no difference in my conditions. All works well.
