gundog
Hi everyone just a quickie has anyone used growmore peat before,I saw some the other day at a local garden centre and on the bag it says quality peat, but looking at people that sell it online they say not suitable for lime hating plants,so thought I’d ask
Alexis
Nope, it's moss peat with added fertiliser. Avoid.
gundog
Do you have any evidence that it’s got fertiliser in it. I spoke with growmore and the man that does all the technical specifications,he assured me there is no fertiliser in it and when I pointed out that all websites that sell it even there’s says not suitable for lime hating plants he is changing the generic spec,he also said only blonde and brown peat are in the bag
Tropfrog
Hmm. Peat not suitable for lime hating plants. Isnt the only reason to grow in peat that you have lime hating plants? Lime loving plants hate peat. Strange product.
