Drosera coccipetala and Drosera zeyheri in bloom

Recommended Posts

Those are super pictures of some unusual Drosera.  Any chance you could give us some idea of your cultivation techniques with them please?

Kind regards,  Rob

Hello Rob,

nothing special, south African winter growing sundews grow well in Mediterranean climate, I live in central Italy.

Substrate 50% mineral and 50% peat. Absolutely bone dry from dormancy (around end of April) till the beginning of Autumn. In that period I keep pots inisde, in a garage. Then from beginning of Autumn I start watering, initially just few water from above, then when the plants are in vegetation I keep some water in the tray. In winter minimum temps around 0°C.
