Zec Rich
I have just popped out to the greenhouse and there are slug trails on my sarracenia and it looks like they go down into the pitchers! Will they harm them and if so what can I do to stop it?
RobH
Do you mean a bit like this A Rather Large Slug Sure they will damage your plants if given a chance. Try to keep them out of your greenhouse. I am no expert on slug deterrents but you can try something like slug pellets, coffee grounds, a prickly barrier, a beer trap or recycled wool waste pellets. Kind regards, Rob

Tropfrog
Copper is good at stopping slugs. At least the ones I have in my garden dont ever cross copper. So I have put old copper pipes around my crop garden. I dont have a bog, but i imagine it makes no difference. Zec Rich
So at 10pm last night, I went out to the greenhouse and with a small torch in my mouth, I inspected my plants and checked under the pots. There were two small slugs and both on my Sarracenia cv Juthatip Soper, I got one and launched it but the other one slipped into the pitcher! Found some copper tape on the shelf in the greenhouse and wrapped it around the tray holding the plants, hopefully that sorts it!?
