Can this new leaf be saved?

Recommended Posts

I got this N. lowii x ventricosa today in the post, it's my first Nepenthes and sadly it's topmost leaf has snapped as you can see in the picture :(

Is there anything I can do? Will it affect the plant at all? Will it even fix it itself?

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

Hi! Don’t be afraid, this leaf has broken but the next ones will be perfect! It is only an aesthetic problem, but it doesn’t hurt the plant! Nepenthes lowii x ventricosa is a beautiful plant, well done! :tu:

So sorry for the late reply!!

Thank you for that, that is a relief

The new leaf you can see growing on that photo is almost free of the broken leaf. I find it so cool that new leaves seem to grow through the previous leaf and push themselves out, really fascinating!
