Sarracenia post bloom

  You've allowed a Sarr to flower to either ; harvest the pollen, or to create a X.
 

Two scenarios: The flower has dropped all its pollen, or a few months down the line the Sarr was unsuccessfully pollinated.

 At this point is there any benefit, or not even to cut the flower Off?

It doesn't really matter, but there's not much of a point in cutting them off at that point. Plants put a lot of energy into flowering, but as soon as the flowers are 'finished', they're essentially just fancy leaves (which can still photosynthesise) and don't require any extra energy.

By the way, cutting them off when they're still growing, which is often claimed to help the plant grow faster, isn't really helpful either, because the plant will simply try to create more flower stalks and so will actually spend more energy on flowering in the end.

I didn't know that. Often I've read about cutting the bud off so the plant doesn't waste energy, especially after re-potting/dividing in producing a flower

I have only very rarely had sarracenia send up a second flower,if the first is removed. It could happen if the plant is multi crowned I suppose but not from the same crown.    VFT,s on the other hand will send up numerous flower stalks if you remove the first one
