dimitar
Got this clone a few years ago from US as very small dying plant but it bounce back from the root. Clone from late Dennis Hastings collection...

dimitar
Here is interesting comparison: left Cephalotus 'Bananito" ( Eden Black x self seed grown) vs its parent Cephalotus 'Eden Black' - right Cephalotus 'Bananito' 1
mobile
Bananito is a beautiful clone and in my opinion, worthy of cultivar status given its unusual pitcher shape. The dark colouration when grown in conditions conducive to such is definitely an added bonus to this cultivar.

Bamby94
What conditions do you grow them under to get that dark colour?
Dunc
Great looking dark clones dimitar and very nice plants. Only ever grown, indeed even seen, the typs. If you ever have some spare 'bits' I'd like to give them a go! Grown typ for 20 odd years, always found it fairly easy if a bit susceptible to the occasional grey mould if kept too wet over the colder months. Bidde
Nice plant. What are the Special charakteristics of this clone?
Bidde
I've heard that Red monster and black shape of Charles Brewers is one and the same clone. As I know Charles swapped with the clone Red Monster of Dennis Hastings and sells it now under black shaped. That's what I've heard. But I'm not sure.
