Siarhei
Hello everybody. Today I was going to sow the seeds of drosophyllum in a mix of sand, perlite and vermiculite. I poured this mixture into peat pots and put them in a bowl of rainwater. It took several hours and I decided to measure the ppm of water in a bowl with pots. The device showed 61 ppm !!! So it should be? Or pots of peat are bad? Edited July 19, 2018 by Carnivor
werds
61 ppm will not harm Drosophyllum..

linuxman
Salts in your sand, maybe?

I washed quartz sand with distilled water, he could not so affect the readings of the device.
SoLongFairWell
It could also be coming from the peat pots. Those things aren't great.
Rob-Rah
I would defer planting the seed until September. The cool nights are one of the triggers for successful germination.....
