Karsty
You can drain it off anyhow. Just make sure its medium remains moist. If it was me I wouldn't be concerned about it, I would take it out of the water and just put it straight back into normal conditions.... Netjer
So I went for submerging for two days and then putting the plant straight back into its normal environment - seemed to clear the infestation right up! I had a look at the plant a couple of days ago and noticed several patches of some sort of dew on it, as well as around the mouths of the newer pitchers. Is this a possible sign of a new infestation? No misshapen leaves yet.
Karsty
If there's no aphids, there's no aphids! It's sounds like you are describing the natural sugary secretion it uses to attract insects....?
Netjer
Thanks Karsty! I had wondered if that was what it was, but given my relative inexperience with CPs (especially sarracenia!) I figured it worth checking.
