I sneakily moved them outside in the hope of some rain. To be honest, they don't need rescuing. They are propagated in their tens of thousands for the houseplant trade and are practically disposable. I know but it doesn't feel right just leaving them there. I wold have bought them but as they were asking full price I didn't bother. No growing advice either.
