Would a wiki page be possible?

HI,

I've been thinking for a while now that probably every member of this forum must have at least one great idea or piece of knowledge that they could share with everyone else. This could be something from your own experience or learnt from elsewhere, but which would be good to share. This information would be most useful if made available in an easy and immediate way. If buried in a thread somewhere it's so easy to get lost. So, I was thinking we could do with something like a wiki page that everyone has access to and remains always visible on the website. For layout, we could possibly have pages that reflect the fora breakdown we're used to. What do you think of the idea?

That is, if it is possible at all?

Regards,

The sounds like a great idea! If you need any help setting it up or anything, I'm always around and looking for things to do when my little one is napping!

I did not take part in writing the wiki,  but i know it was really hard for writers, revisors and ecc.

And it could be an added value to the forum.

I was hoping it could be part of this site, but if not I could start an independent one. But that wouldn't be very immediate or accessible so people would just forget about it. Any comment Richard?

Regards,

You're lucky I read this thread.  I don't have much time to read every forum post these days but this one sounded interesting.

Thrash out ideas further in this thread and message me when you have a better idea of what you'd like and I'll set it up.

A wiki would be very helpful. Maybe we could have pages for different genera and then individual pages for each species, with objective information at the top like habitat and then cultivation tips at the bottom. Maybe something like this? Members could contribute photographs too.
