MikiandHenry
Hi all, I picked up a nepenthes plant at a local garden centre today and I just wanted some advice on caring for it, the media it was in was bone dry and I've included pictures to show what the pictures and leaves look like. I just want to make sure I'm doing the right things to get the plant happy and healthy! Thank you in advance for any advice!
manders
Looks like you have a ventrata (ventricosa x alata) hybrid. Its best to water with rainwater although nepenthes generally aren't as fussy as other CP's. Room temperature is fine and they like plenty of light, sun is ok if the plant is used to it. If the pitchers are dry you could put some water in and it will help to rehydrate the plant. other than that these guys are fairly straightforward, just keep the compost damp and the plant in good light and it should grow fine.
MikiandHenry
Thank you! Most of the pitchers have liquid in them, the plant seems to have already perked up a bit after a good water.
