Pitchers leaning over and drooping out of pot

Hi everyone...... A lot of my Sarracenia seem to have drooping pitchers and are hanging over the edge of the pot..... Is this an error in repotting them? i dont bury the growth point i leave it about half way out of the soil. I dont know if its meant to be completely under the soil medium or not? But its a bit frustrating having all the plants having a couple of drooping pitchers that end up feeding themselves to my VFT's lol. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers

Been there:

Three causes I´ve spotted:

- Not enough light. Even if the plant is in full sun if only one of the pitchers does not get enough light it will probably droop.

- Pitchers are not getting enough water. Maybe the soil is choking some roots.

- Strong winds and rain are the most common cause in my case.

Best Regards,

Rafael.

Hmmm...... Well they get about 7 hours or so of direct light and i would think all the pitchers get at least some of it as it moves round the sky...... The choking roots may be a possibility as they are in pure peat (Maybe its too dense?) and they are in the open, so rain and wind does get to them...... Ill have to see what happens once i have my greenhouse set up. Thanks a lot for the info everyone.

At the moment ive got S.Popei which is starting to lean a little bit. My S.Stevensii is looking ok..... I have another which im not sure of the species.... I looks like a cross with S.Minor.... Maybe S.Flava x Minor? and my S.Purp x Oreo is leaning over (more likely from weight of water in the pitchers though i think) Cheers

The main reason why rigid pitchers lean over is new growth forcing its way through. This is very apparent on flava this time of year as the winter phyllodia are in full growth. With alata and leucos, it is because of the 2nd pitcher crop.
