Mark Anderson
Just put a layer of sphagnum moss in the orchid basket and then add any substrate of your liking, haven't used these before but that's how I'd do it. How this helps a bit. Cheers Mark
JMHoff
Or just go full with live sphagnum
North West Neps
You're looking at a chunky mix containing your preferred choice of stuff like orchid bark, coco husk, sphagnum, expanded clay, sponge pieces, or large grade perlite if you can get it. You don't need me to tell you peat and standard grade perlite is an obvious no-no Edited August 28, 2016 by North West Neps
manders
It would worry me using orchid baskets for Nepenthes, i think they would dry out very fast in hot weather unless you had a daily spray system set up. They do look nice though.
