MakoShark2
Wow! Best pics so far of Cephs I've seen. Just receive a pot this week, would love to have some nice looking Cephs like those. How do you water them? Often? Top, bottom or both? How much sun? Thanks for sharing those nice pics. Cheers.
Blocky71
Water Cephs from the bottom Mako. If I'm around then I wait for the water tray to empty before sticking another inch or so back in. If I'm not around then I'll put enough water in the tray to ensure the plant doesn't dry out. Watering from the top can cause crown rot, more so in wet/winter weather. Grown in full sun the plant will gain a red/purple colouration, grown in shade it will remain greener and will usually produce slightly larger pitchers. Cheers blocky
MakoShark2
Thanks blocky! I frequently spray (although lightly) my CP's with water to keep them fresh, I guess that wouldn't be recommended for the Cephs also? Cheers Daniel.
pmatil
In closed environments spraying can encourage mold but other than that light spraying doesn't hurt.
