That nidiformis looks stunning! I have one that was doing well, but has recently started going very brown...

Any ideas what might be the problem? It's been growing well, and has about six tall flower stalks, but as I said, I've had a lot of brown leaves over the past few weeks. It's on a south-facing window, where it gets loads of light, and I keep the water level topped up.

I got that problem when i bought that plant. Too many plants in one pot.
You have to separate them and replant them in a bigger pot. They need to breathe ;)

For information i replanted them in a 10x10 pot with 100% sphagnum moss :)

Thanks for the reply. As far as I know, there's only one plant in there, although it has grown somewhat since I bought it.

Maybe I'll try puling it out and seeing if I can split it down.

What was the reason for planting in pure sphag? My only attempts at doing that weren't very successful.

I'm sure at 100% you have at least 3 plants in your small pot  :laugh1:

I use sphagnum moss only for drosera, for a better humidity

OK, thanks for the help. I'll have a go at splitting it, and maybe try some in peat/perlite and some in sphagnum, see how they fare.

It's sphagnum from Iceland, it grows sooooooooooooo slowly ;)

Does any sphag grow quickly? I have a couple of types, which I'm trying to grow, but it's painfully slow. It's not growing as fast as I wan to use it!
