Carnivorous plants in Brazil

Recommended Posts

Hi,

this year i spent almost three weeks in Brazil. We started in Rio de Janeiro with some touristic things. After that time we spent 8 days together with Carlos Rohrbacher in Minas Gerais to look for cps. The following picture show D. chrysolepis which we saw at one spot in the Serra Do Cipo.

It must have been a magnificent trip Christian, thanks for sharing the pics.

BTW: the soil looks as quite dry for D. chrysolepis, was it?

What a beautiful and informative selection of pictures, Christian. This is clearly a trip I'd like to do one day.

Thank you for sharing these photographs with us.  :good2:

François.

Hi,

glad to see you like the pictures!

@Zlatokrt: I don't know how wet this place is during the different seasons. The day we've been there (we were there in July, that's the dry season) it was really dry, but also not too wet. Maybe some of our brazilian friends can say something more about this.

Hello,

i will use this thread to show some more pictures of Drosera we saw in Brazil. Time is running so fast, tomorrow exactly one year ago our trip through Minas Gerais started! I won't comment much on the different species, so if you have any questions, please ask.

P.S.: can someone please rename this thread to Drosera in Brazil. Thanks!

Christian
