FredG
A winter growing Disa, it requires a dry summer rest. The buds seem to take forever to open. One not to grow in a Sarracenia lagoon.

SoLongFairWell
Is it small flowered or larger? Also could it perhaps grow with winter growing Drosera?
FredG
The flowers are 1" (2.5 cm) across. I don't have any winter growing Drosera but it sat in a cold greenhouse all last winter.
FredG
Very nice! Do they smell? I've not noticed a nose on them. That goes back to an old music hall joke. Comic - My dog had his nose bitten off Straight man - How does he smell Comic - Terribly There is no discernible scent

FredG
41 days after the first flower opened it's still looking good. What has happened since the last flower opened is that the flowers have begun to separate vertically. Please excuse image quality, it's windy out there (and the spiderlings have been busy). Now I need to ask how I'm supposed to give it a dry late spring/summer rest when it's in full flower and seed production?
Ron
Fred. That is a stunningly beautiful orchid, will be interesting to see how long it lasts. How long do they take from seed propagation to mature flowering plant. Ron
FredG
No idea Ron, I acquired it as a young plant
