Retiring from collecting dionaea

Gutted, saddened, lost for words.

Now I have had time to consider a reply I'm still gutted and saddened,  I have paid for loads of plants from Ceri over a two year period and  received  large, healthy, vigorous plants plus lots of  freebies.  Probably one of the best sellers  of  VFT's on cpuk.  Read the comments and make up your own mind,  well respected seller or an inexperienced buyer !. I know where my vote goes.  It appears it is a near neighbour that cocked up and tried to put the blame on newly purchased plants from a respected seller.

Unfortunately, there's always someone who is a whining bugger and will complain about air being too pure. It ultimately ruins both the hobby and community and is very sad indeed. I've never dealt with OP, but I hope with time you find the spark again. Take care

My last message here. Phew you all state in unison.

Thanks to Ady for his kind and supportive comments about our collection and his willingness to strike at the heart of things and criticise.

I'd also like to give a big thank you to the person who put the fungus theory into his brain without thinking about the consequences. I'm sure everyone knows who you are too. Great way of eliminating the competition eh? You know when no one from the UK would speak to you at the EEE in 2009 and we did? Know I know why.

These are the facts :-

1. Healthy plants left our collection.

2. Buyer suffers losses and doesn't know why but indicates he has a lot of plants and let them go dry.

3. Someone tells him it is a fungus. Buyer believes this and doesn't do his research on the subject.

My scientific conclusion is that something happened after the plants left us. Further research needed.

I hope that everyone knows what sort of collector Ady is now and should be aware that you to could be blamed for losses.

So long everyone and enjoy the hobby.
