Is My Tap Water Safe?

Recommended Posts

Buy a TDS meter on eBay or Amazon. The water needs to read under 100ppm.

As a fellow CP enthusiast from Texas, I do not recommend going by any of the sites online that give a guestimation of TDS readings. Due to the area of the country, we have a LOT of clay and minerals in our water. Buy yourself a TDS meter.

They are not at all expensive.

It's better to test the water yourself. And if it's ok to use, then make sure to continue testing it every now and then just in case the water company does something.

In Syd, Australia tap h20 TDS reading 95PPM in my area though I use undersink 3 stage filtered water to remove chlorine.

Water a plant with it for a while. It'll let you know soon enough. :chiffa:
