Nepenthes Lowii
How do I find out??
SoLongFairWell
Buy a TDS meter on eBay or Amazon. The water needs to read under 100ppm.
Nepenthes Lowii
Is there a way to find it online?
mdeford09
As a fellow CP enthusiast from Texas, I do not recommend going by any of the sites online that give a guestimation of TDS readings. Due to the area of the country, we have a LOT of clay and minerals in our water. Buy yourself a TDS meter. They are not at all expensive. http://www.amazon.com/Mudder-0-9990ppm-Hydroponics-Laboratory-Scientific/dp/B00MRLMG0M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1432579161&sr=8-2&keywords=tds+meter

JMHoff
Is it not possible to contact the local water company?
carnivorousDan
I assume they cant give you an accurate enough reading than testing yourself. Dan
SoLongFairWell
It's better to test the water yourself. And if it's ok to use, then make sure to continue testing it every now and then just in case the water company does something.

Daniel G
Water a plant with it for a while. It'll let you know soon enough.
