Bugs in soil of VFT

Hello i purchased a shark tooth VFT from hantsflytrap about a week ago,i have it sitting on my windowsill and have just noticed little bugs crawling out of the soil,when i tried to get one out to photograph it they went back in the soil. Anybody know what these are and how do i get rid asap, would i be best to take it out pot down to roots and repot with fresh peat.thanks

without a photo the short answer is no.

If they are not munching away at your vft I wouldnt worry about it.

there is going to be many different types of 'bugs' in your soil most of which you will never see. Thats the miracle of life and how nature works, different species supporting the exiatence of others and all driven from the bottom by sunlight water and air..

If you are worried about them spreading to your house and infesting your bed or food supply or killing you in your sleep dont worry they are evolved to survive in warm, damp soil and would probably die or be very  miserable away from it.

They dont seem to be eating it but its not something i want on my plants, there seem to be a good couple in ther, im just worried of them spreading to my other plants and then being over run with them. Ide rather rectify the problem now if it is possible, i have other VFT which do not have these.thanks
