Peabody
Can anyone recommend plants for my cold shaded greenhouse ? I have grown Venus Flytraps with limited success due to the lack of sunshine getting to my greenhouse. I have a few Cephalotus that seem to be coping quite well. Richard Bunn
Pings. Perhaps Darlingtonia. Also some non carnivorous Disa and Pleione orchids.
Gaz
I'd go along with Richards suggestion of Pings, also Bromeliads might be possible although I'm definitely no expert on those.
Richard Bunn
It could be too cool for Bromeliads. I'm no expert either and there may be some more cold tolerant ones. Can't you just remove the shading or relocate the greenhouse (or your house)???
FredG
I'm with Richard, you wouldn't be the first person to relocate to enable you to grow the plants you want to.
manders
Utricularia nelumbifolia seems to do well in shade and is ok with cool cnditions (but not freezing). Edited May 3, 2015 by manders
Daniel G
Some of the more common Drosera, like capensis, should probably stand conditions like these. Not ideal, but they should manage

I'm trying to convince my wife to buy a house where I can have a greenhouse

Daniel G
The location of the original poster. Leeds gets pretty damn chilly in winter, like most of the UK really. (In Sheffield a few years back we had a night at -17C)
